Friend Therapy

We caught up with the radiant yoginis that are featured in the latest ToeSox ad in Yoga Journal. Being on a photoshoot* with these ladies was so much fun. Their laughter is genuine and rich. Check out more photos from the scene and our interview with each of them about Friend Therapy.

Q. What is your favorite thing to do with a friend? Giselle: When I get a chance to be with my friends, I love to do a girls weekend away at a great hotel. We order room service (which has to include French fries, salad and red wine), lay in bed, chat and get Pay-Per-View movies. It’s a beautiful thing. Kathryn: Cook, eat and drink! MacKenzie: I love grabbing dinner at a restaurant with great ambiance. Give me a good glass of wine and some tasty treats and I could sit there for hours conversing. Q. What’s the funniest memory you have with a friend? Giselle: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Tee hee. Kathryn: I had a pretty epic moment just last week that I seriously can't share with you out of deep embarrassment but we both wet ourselves a little we laughed so hard. MacKenzie: Funniest memory... Well right now I'm in Singapore visiting one of my best friends and honestly I think almost all of our memories are hilarious. It started with us dancing in the airport out of the excitement of seeing each other. The first day I was in town we went and got one of those "fish pedicures" and almost peed ourselves laughing so hard from the sensation. After that we continued on to embrace fear on the Singapore Extreme Swing giggling out of nervousness as we fell extreme heights. Ending the day with a Tiger beer and Chilli Crab, which if you don't know is an extremely messy dish in Singapore. Laughing as the sauce was in our hair, on our face, and all over the table. I suppose what I'm trying to say is everything I do with friends is an opportunity for a big smile and deep belly laughs. Q. How are you a good friend? Giselle: My best friend of almost 30 years says I’m always there for my friends with an open heart, non-judgemental mind and I will keep your secrets in a vault. I will always let you know if you have spinach in your teeth, a random wirey grey hair that’s sticking out, and always tell you how special you are to me. I will go to great lengths to not only be with my friends but to support them through thick and thin. Kathryn: I will do anything in my power to help the people I love. MacKenzie: Prioritizing them. Most importantly showing up. It's something that can be done no matter where you are in the world. Whether it be by sending a sweet love note in the mail or something simple as giving them a hug... Actions speak volumes. Q. Where can we find you?
