5 things to do for the best day ever

Do these 5 things in the morning to have the best day ever:

1. Good night’s sleep

Ideally, you want to wake up when your body naturally says to. However, if you need an alarm set, make sure you are getting to bed early enough so you have 7-9 hours of rest under your belt when you rise. Being well rested is good for your mood, stress-levels, and waistline.

2. Make your bed

This may not be the most “important” thing you can do or want to do, but it is an easy win. Making your bed every day is a habit that whispers I respect my space and where I sleep. Just do it and you’ll thank us later.

3. Warm lemon water

Before you make coffee or take a bite of food, sip on warm lemon water. This one action will fire up your metabolism, balance your pH, and boost your immune system.

4. Smile

You only have a few seconds to make a first impression. This doesn’t just apply to your interactions with others, it also applies to how you greet yourself. Whether you feel like it or not, just smile – force it if you have to. The act of smiling will trigger a chemical response in the brain that elevates your mood.

5. Move your body

Get your exercise done in the morning. Here’s the thing… you may have the BEST intentions to workout at the end of the day, but things come up and it becomes harder to prioritize your fitness time. Whether it's a power walk or early morning barre class, getting it done first thing becomes one less thing you have to think about. You have made your health a priority - another win!
