December 21 marks the first day of winter. This day, known as Winter Solstice, is the shortest day of the year. Have you noticed the sun coming up later each morning and setting earlier each evening? There is less light and more darkness as we approach Winter Solstice. And then, just when we need it, Winter Solstice arrives bringing with it not only the coldest of seasons, but also more daylight every day after. It’s a hint of hope. While the darkest day of the year can conjure a dreary feeling, keep in mind that it’s also the longest night of them all. What do you do at night?
